Casa Palmeras Apartment - Cabopino Golf Course

Cabopino Golf Course – Marbella, Costa del Sol, Spain

Course Name: Cabopino Golf "Cape of Pines"

Course Architect: Juan José Ligués Creus

Year opened: 2001

Year of Federation: 2000

Number of holes: 18

Par: 71

Cabopino Golf opened its doors in April 2001. The course is located west of Cabopino between Marbella and Fuengirola just off the N340.

Situated 12 km from Marbella, this is very modern 18-hole golf course - par 71. It has spectacular views of the sea and the Costa del Sol. With its beautiful woodland setting, stunning sea views, and sheer variety of play, Cabopino Golf course is fast becoming one of the most sought after courses in the Marbella region. The spectacular Cabopino golf course is located in a wooded area and swirls towards a quite undulated area (a buggy is required). More land inward it breaths a rustique atmosphere away from traffic and tourism.

The well designed lakes will test your accuracy from the tee and add to the already wonderful views, specifically towards the sea. Thanks to the variety this course offers and the easy access from the N340 this course will soon be among the most popular ones on the coast.

Cabopino Golf is one of the Costa del Sol's newest courses and is perched amongst umbrella pines above the marina of the same name. The best way of describing the layout is short and sweet with superb views over the Mediterranean and the surrounding mountains.

Heralded as a course for "Using All the clubs in your bag", Cabopino offers a stiff challenge for high handicappers. Those who boast a low handicap will have to take calculated risks to get good results.

The Cabopino golf club features lakes that affect at least four holes. It offers three par 3, two par 5 and thirteen par 4 in its layout, which is of modern design. The 320-metre third hole has a definite "wow" factor; a raised tee invites one to open ones shoulders to a wide landing area leaving a short approach to a raised green. It is a superb hole. The views down towards the twinkling Mediterranean can be quite a distraction on closing holes described as "Brilliant" by Sky Golf Presenter, David Livingstone, who was one of the first to play there.

If you haven't played Cabopino Golf yet, do so - you will soon understand why it enjoys so many happy returns.
